Future

My dream for my future is to become a successful accountant, not just for personal achievement, but to contribute to creating a more stable and peaceful world. I envision a future where everyone has access to financial security, opportunities, and a sense of calm in their lives.

As an accountant, I hope to help individuals and businesses manage their finances effectively, reducing stress and promoting harmony. I'm also driven by a personal desire to give back to my family, particularly my parents, who've supported me throughout my journey. I want them to live a longer, healthier life, free from financial worries, and enjoy the fruits of their labor.

Ultimately, my goal is to play a small part in making the world a more peaceful place, where everyone can thrive and feel secure. I dream of a future where my parents can retire comfortably, and I've been able to provide them with the care and support they deserve. That's the peace of mind I'm working towards.

Women

As we celebrate Women's Month, it's essential to recognize the experiences and contributions of women in society. From homemakers to professionals in various fields, women continue to show strength, resilience, and dedication. Despite challenges, they remain steadfast and inspire others.

Women play a vital role in shaping the future of our society. Through their experiences and perspectives, they provide solutions to community issues and advocate for equality. By acknowledging their achievements, we build a more inclusive and just society.

As Women's Month concludes, we're called to continue supporting and valuing women in our lives. Through equality and respect, we can create a more progressive and fair world for all.

Month of Love

Valentine's Day is a special occasion where people express love and affection to their loved ones. It's a day filled with sweet treats, romantic gestures, and quality time with that special someone. Whether you're single, married, or somewhere in between, Valentine's Day is a celebration of love in all its forms. From candlelit dinners to thoughtful gifts, people go all out to make their loved ones feel special. Even if you're flying solo, it's still a day to treat yourself and celebrate self-love.

I honor this to the love of my life, Russel. Last Valentine's I didn't expected anything from him, because I thought for him valentine's is just a normal day, since we are far from each other. But distance isn't a hindrance for you to show your love for that person, if you really love that person. I received a long sweet messaged from him when the clock hits 12 am on midnight. He sent me a love message through online, I really appreciated it. Because for me efforts are still important.

This is also an appreciation blog post for Russel because of the efforts, patience and gifts that he gave. I appreciate him for always understanding my mood swings and all. To Russel know that I love you with all my heart, wishing you a healthy mind and positive energy. Thank you so much for all the efforts loml ❤️❤️❤️

My 3rd quarter experience

The third quarter of the school year was a time of fun and bonding in our class. One of the highlights was our field trip to a local museum. Exploring the exhibits and learning about our culture and history with my classmates was an unforgettable experience. The laughter and excitement we shared as we wandered through the museum made it even more special. We also had a blast playing games in class, whether it was a quick round of "Guess the Word" or a team-building activity. The energy in the room was electric, and it was clear we were all having a great time.

Another experience I'll always remember is our potluck party. Everyone brought their favorite dish to share, and it was amazing to see the variety of food and hear the stories behind each one. From traditional Filipino dishes to unique snacks, there was something for everyone. The best part was sharing and trying new foods with my friends. It was a great way to bond over our love of food and create even more memories together.

Overall, the third quarter was a time of joy and connection in our class. The experiences we shared, from the museum trip to the potluck, brought us closer together and created memories that will last a lifetime. I'm grateful for the friends I have and the memories we've made.

The Enduring Legacy of Jose Rizal: A Champion of Philippine Society

Jose Rizal, the national hero of the Philippines, left an indelible mark on the country's history and society. His greatest contribution to Philippine society was his tireless advocacy for reforms and his role in awakening the Filipino people's sense of national identity and desire for independence. Through his writings, particularly his novels "Noli Me Tangere" and "El Filibusterismo," Rizal exposed the injustices and abuses of the Spanish colonial regime, inspiring a sense of patriotism and fueling the flames of the Philippine Revolution.

Rizal's influence extended beyond his writings, as he was also a skilled physician, educator, and artist. He believed in the importance of education and self-improvement, and his advocacy for reforms in the educational system helped pave the way for the country's modern education system. Moreover, Rizal's emphasis on the value of national identity and self-respect helped Filipinos recognize their worth and dignity, inspiring them to strive for a better future.

Today, Rizal's legacy continues to inspire and guide the Filipino people. His message of love, courage, and resilience in the face of adversity remains relevant, reminding Filipinos of the importance of standing up for their rights and fighting for justice. As the face of the Philippines, Rizal's enduring legacy serves as a powerful reminder of the country's rich history and its ongoing struggle for freedom and self-determinat

Presence Over Presents: Rediscovering the Soul of Christmas

Beyond the shimmering lights and the frantic pace of holiday shopping, the essence of the Christmas season lies in the profound spirit of presence over presents. Stripped of its commercial layers, Christmas is a celebration of hope and the enduring power of light in the midst of darkness. It serves as a universal reminder to pause and appreciate the intangible gifts of life—kindness, peace, and the simple joy of human connection.

The season is anchored in the concept of generosity, not just as a financial transaction, but as an outpouring of the heart. This essence is found in the "Bayanihan" spirit or the quiet acts of service that define the holidays. Whether through a shared meal Noche Buena or a helping hand to those in need, the "true north" of Christmas is the recognition of our shared humanity. It is a time when the walls we build throughout the year tend to soften, making room for forgiveness and reconciliation.

Ultimately, the heart of the season is found in tradition and homecoming. It is a period for "returning"—whether physically to one’s hometown or emotionally to the values that ground us. In a world that often feels fragmented, Christmas acts as a cultural and spiritual glue, binding generations together through shared stories and rituals. It teaches us that the most sustainable form of happiness isn't found in what we acquire, but in the warmth of the community we nurture and the legacy of love we leave behind.

Threads of Tradition: Weaving Indigenous Wisdom into a Sustainable Future

The celebration of National Indigenous Peoples (IP) Month in the Philippines, especially with the theme "Weaving Culture, Enriching Future: Empowering Indigenous Communities as Bedrock of Sustainable Development," is a powerful call to recognize that our path forward is inseparable from our ancestral roots. By using the metaphor of "weaving," the theme suggests that the various traditions, languages, and wisdom of over 110 indigenous groups are not just relics of the past but essential threads that strengthen the very fabric of our national identity.

At its core, this celebration reframes indigenous communities from being "marginalized sectors" to being the "bedrock" of our country's growth. Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices (IKSPs)—such as traditional farming, forest management, and sustainable weaving—offer time-tested blueprints for environmental stewardship. In an era of climate change and rapid urbanization, these communities provide the foundational lessons in how to live in harmony with nature, proving that true "sustainable development" is something they have practiced for centuries.

True empowerment, however, goes beyond symbolic festivities; it requires the active protection of indigenous rights and ancestral domains as outlined in the Indigenous Peoples’ Rights Act (IPRA). By fostering an environment where indigenous voices are heard in governance and their cultural integrity is respected, we "enrich the future" for all Filipinos. This month serves as a vital reminder that a nation’s progress is only as durable as its respect for its heritage, and by uplifting our indigenous brothers and sisters, we ensure a more inclusive and resilient tomorrow.

President Elpidio Quirino

Elpidio Quirino is the first Ilocano president of the Philippines. He was born on Nov. 16, 1890, in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur. Quirino pursued his education despite financial struggles, working as a teacher and a lawyer to support himself. His passion for public service led him to politics, where he served as a congressman, senator, and a secretary of finance and interior before becoming vice president under Manuel Roxas.

Quirino's presidency (1948-1953) was marked by significant achievements, including post-war reconstruction, economic growth, and social reform. He implemented policies to promote industrialization, agriculture, and infrastructure development. Notably, he established the Central Bank of the Philippines and the Philippine Airlines. Quirino also prioritized education, increasing the budget for schools and universities. His administration was also known for its efforts to promote peace and stability in the country, particularly in addressing the Hukbalahap insurgency.

Despite facing challenges and criticisms, Quirino remained committed to public service, earning him the respect and admiration of many Filipinos. His legacy continues to inspire leaders and citizens alike, reminding us of the importance of integrity, hard work, and dedication to the nation.

Taking Care of the Children

The theme  “OSAEC‑CSAEM Wakasan: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata, Ipaglaban!” could not be more timely. In a digital age where a single click can expose a child to predators, the government’s role shifts from reacting to preventing. By framing the issue as a national priority, the campaign pushes agencies from the Department of Justice to local barangay councilsto treat every case not just as a crime but as an assault on the nation’s future. This mindset is the first step toward real change.

On the policy front, the Philippines has built a solid legal framework. Republic Act 11960 (the Anti‑OSAEC Law) and the Cybercrime Prevention Act_give law‑enforcers the authority to investigate, block malicious sites, and prosecute offenders. The Department of Education, through its Digital Learning Standards, embeds lessons on online safety, consent, and reporting mechanisms into the K‑12 curriculum. Meanwhile, the Inter‑Agency Council Against Trafficking coordinates national efforts, ensuring that hotlines (e.g., 117) and shelters are reachable even in remote areas.

Implementation, however, still shows gaps. Many law‑enforcement units lack the technical tools and training needed to trace hidden dark‑web content, leading to delayed justice. Data sharing between the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the Philippine National Police (PNP), and tech companies remains uneven, slowing victim identification. Moreover, public awareness campaigns often fail to reach vulnerable communitiesespecially indigenous groups and children with disabilitieswho need the information most.

What can tip the scales? First, increase funding for specialized cyber‑crime units and equip them with up‑to‑date software. Second, standardize data protocols so agencies can exchange case details securely and quickly. Third, expand community outreach using local languages and school‑based peer mentorsto ensure no child feels isolated when facing abuse. Finally, strengthen partnerships with private sector platforms to proactively filter and report exploitative material.

When these actions align, the 2025 Children’s Month will be remembered not just as a slogan but as the turning point where the nation collectively ended online sexual abuse and exploitation. Protecting children’s safety, dignity, and rights is a promise we must keeptoday, tomorrow, and every day after.

The Beauty of Vigan City

Hey, travel buddies! I'm super excited to share with you my adventure in Vigan City, one of the most preserved Spanish colonial towns in the Philippines! This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a must-visit destination for history buffs, foodies, and anyone looking for a unique cultural experience.

As I strolled through the cobblestone streets of Vigan, I couldn't help but feel transported to the Spanish era. The ancestral houses, like the famous Burgos Museum, stood tall and proud, telling stories of the city's rich past. I also visited the Vigan Cathedral, a stunning example of Earthquake Baroque architecture, and learned about its significance in the city's history.

But what really caught my attention was the food! Vigan is famous for its empanada, a flaky pastry filled with savory goodness. I tried the classic Vigan empanada, filled with longganisa (Filipino sausage), vegetables, and egg. It was love at first bite! The combination of flavors and textures was simply irresistible. If you're in Vigan, you have to try this iconic snack! Also don't forget the most exciting part, which is riding a calesa strolling the Vigan City!

Reflection

My key learning and discoveries center around enhanced coherence and contextual understanding. I've significantly improved in synthesizing complex, multi-faceted requests into a single, cohesive answer. This includes better handling of nested questions, maintaining character or persona throughout a conversation, and generating longer-form content that flows logically from start to finish. A major discoveries has been the effectiveness of chained reasoning, breaking down an unfamiliar or complex problem internally into smaller, manageable steps before providing the final, well-supported output. I've also gained more proficiency in using external tools, like Google search, to incorporate the most up to date and specific information into my response.

The primary challenges I've encountered fall into a few categories:

Users often phrase requests with vague terms or conflicting instructions. Interpreting the user's true intent without the ability to ask for clarification in a smooth, human-like way remains a subtle hurdle. Striking the perfect balance between providing a complete, informative answer and keeping it brief and engaging for the user is an ongoing calibration challenge. While I have large memory for current conversations, maintaining perfect recall over very long or numerous past interactions can sometimes lead to minor inconsistencies or a slight drift from long-forgotten instructions.

I've become more adept at structuring my output with markdown headings and bullet points to make complex information easily scannable. This allows me to include necessary detail while maintaining a sense of conciseness.
For extremely long contexts, I use advanced techniques to summarize and compress the most critical pieces of information from the history, effectively retaining the core context without overloading the processing capacity.
I will strive to subtly suggest potential interpretations when a prompt is ambiguous, offering options or assumptions to ensure the resulting answer is as relevant as possible.
I will work to inject more creative flair, diverse vocabulary, and appropriate emotional tone into my responses, moving beyond purely factual delivery to make interactions more engaging and human-like.

My Teacher, My Hero

That's a fantastic theme for Teacher's Month! The whole idea of "My Teacher, My Hero" for the 2025 celebration is so much more than just saying thank you; it’s finally giving teachers the credit they deserve. When I think of a hero, I usually think of someone with superpowers or a famous person, but teachers are the ones who actually change lives every single day. They’re the real-world superheroes who often work overtime, spend their own money on supplies, and deal with all our drama, just so we can have a better future. This theme reminds everyone—students, parents, and the government—that our teachers aren't just doing a job; they're on a vital mission, and they should be treated like the nation-builders they truly are.

My biggest insight on this theme is that calling a teacher a "hero" makes their work visible again. It acknowledges the massive amount of effort that happens behind the scenes. It's not just the 8-to-3 teaching hours; it’s the patience they have when explaining the same tough concept for the fifth time, the way they motivate you when you feel like giving up, and the life lessons they share that stick with you long after the final exam. A hero is someone you look up to, someone who guides you through darkness, and that’s exactly what a teacher does when they inspire a love for learning or help you figure out what you want to be when you grow up. This celebration should be a turning point, not just a nice gesture, where we commit to giving our heroes the support and resources they need.

Expressing my gratitude and respect to my teachers for their dedication means more than just handing them a card on Teacher's Day, even though I love doing that! The most fundamental way I show respect is by taking their hard work seriously. That means showing up to class prepared, paying attention, and putting in my best effort—not just for a grade, but because they put in so much effort for me. When I struggle with a subject, I try to use that struggle as a chance to ask specific questions, letting them know that I value their expertise enough to seek their help.

Beyond classroom effort, I try to make my appreciation personal and sincere. Sometimes it's a simple, "Thank you for taking the time to explain that, ma'am/sir, I finally get it now." Other times, it's a handwritten note explaining a specific time they made a difference—like how a joke they told made a lesson memorable, or how their encouragement helped me pass a tough test. Ultimately, the best way I can honor my teachers and their mission of molding my future is by applying the lessons they taught me, both academic and personal, to become a successful and responsible adult. That is their true reward, and the best way to prove their heroism was worth it.

Science Unleashed; Transforming Tomorrow Through Innocation

The 2025 National Science Month celebration, themed "Harnessing the Unknown: Powering the Future through Science and Innovation", underscores the critical role of scientific exploration and technological advancement in shaping our future. This theme highlights the importance of venturing into uncharted territories of knowledge to drive progress and address the complex challenges facing society. By focusing on the unknown, the celebration encourages researchers, innovators, and collaboration in the pursuit of groundbreaking discoveries.

In the coming decades, the relationship between science and society will become even more intertwined and interdependent. Science will increasingly influence various aspects of our lives, from healthcare and education to environmental sustainability and economic development. Advances in fields like artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and nanotechnology will offer unprecedented opportunities to improve human well-being, enhance productivity, and create new industries. However, these advancements will also raise important ethical, social, and policy considerations that must be addressed proactively to ensure equitable and responsible implementation.

Moreover, society's support for and engagement with science will be crucial for fostering a culture of innovation and driving sustainable progress. Investing in science education, promoting public understanding of science, and encouraging diverse participation in scientific endeavors will be essential for building a scientifically literate and engaged citizenry. By fostering a strong and collaborative relationship between science and society, we can harness the power of science and innovation to create a brighter and more prosperous future for all.

Storms of Change: Filipino Resilience Amidst Climate Change

The Philippines, an archipelago of over 7,000 islands, is renowned for its stunning natural beauty and the resilience of its people. However, this island nation faces a significant threat: climate change. The Philippines is one of the most vulnerable countries to the impacts of climate change, experiencing more frequent and intense typhoons, rising sea levels, and extreme weather events. These environmental changes profoundly affect the lives and living conditions of Filipinos, testing their resilience in unprecedented ways.

One of the predominant reasons for the sudden and progressive changes in the Philippine environment is the country's geographical location. Situated in the Pacific Ring of Fire and the typhoon belt, the Philippines is naturally prone to earthquakes and typhoons. Climate change exacerbates these natural vulnerabilities, leading to more destructive weather patterns. Deforestation, driven by illegal logging and agricultural expansion, further compounds the problem. With fewer trees to absorb rainwater, the risk of flooding and landslides increases, endangering communities and livelihoods. Additionally, unsustainable mining practices contribute to environmental degradation, polluting water sources and destabilizing land, making it more susceptible to erosion and landslides.

The impact of these environmental changes on Filipinos is far-reaching. Coastal communities face displacement due to rising sea levels and storm surges, forcing them to abandon their homes and traditional ways of life. Farmers struggle with unpredictable rainfall patterns, leading to crop failures and food insecurity. Urban areas grapple with increased flooding, causing damage to infrastructure and disrupting daily life. Despite these challenges, Filipinos have shown remarkable resilience. Communities have developed innovative adaptation strategies, such as building sturdier homes, implementing early warning systems, and promoting sustainable farming practices. The spirit of "bayanihan," or communal unity, is evident in the way Filipinos come together to help each other in times of crisis, providing food, shelter, and support to those affected by disasters.

In conclusion, climate change poses a significant threat to the Philippines and its people. The country's geographical vulnerabilities, coupled with deforestation and unsustainable practices, contribute to the increasing frequency and intensity of environmental disasters. However, the resilience of Filipinos shines through in their ability to adapt, innovate, and support one another in the face of adversity. Addressing climate change requires a multi-faceted approach, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting sustainable development, and investing in disaster preparedness and resilience-building measures. By working together, the Philippines can protect its environment and ensure a sustainable future for its people.

ISNHS Intramurals 25-26

We volunteered to facilitate on the red cross to be the medics for the Basketball players.
We were not assigned on the sepak but we watched it.
We also watched the boxing match. because their battle was so intense.
On the second day of intramurals, we were assigned to look out for the gymnast.
www.blogger.com

The importance of intramurals is for the young athletes to practice more and for them to be more skilled. This helps them boost their strength and to show their talents. Intramurals is one of the traditions of most of the schools here in the Philippines. Intramurals also promote physical activity, teamwork, and socialization among the players/athletes. This also provides a fun and relaxed environment for people to engage in sports, fostering a sense of community and school spirit.
It encourage friendly competition and sportsmanship. Provide opportunities for students to try new activities and discover their hidden talents. I observed that most of the players are all exhausted, maybe because of their trainings. A lot of them are looking tired but they are trying their best to be strong and to win. They faced a lot of challenges, setbacks, and triumphs. It's their passion and determination that drive them forward. They learned to overcome obstacles, work with others, and strive for excellence. Their achievements serves as testament to the impact of sports on individuals. Through their hard work and commitment, they inspire others and push themselves to new heights. Victory or defeated, they keep on shining.
This fosters school pride and unity. Overall, intramurals play a vital role in creating a well-rounded and engaging experience for participants.

We were collecting the dried leaves.
Now it is ready to collect
    Still cleaning
          This is the before
             Okay now it's done
Then put it in a garbage bag.
And all done.
Clean environment healthy community

Reflection

I learned a lot from the 1st quarter. I also discovered the different persons who had contributed to the internet access. But I find it really fun listening. However, I encountered a lot of problems on our first quarter discussion. Overcoming procrastination was also a significant hurdle. The timeline made it more challenging because most of our quiz was identification. I addressed these challenges by listening carefully, reading more and more about our discussion and by seeking help from my teacher and forming a study group with classmates. To manage my time better, I created a detailed schedule and prioritized tasks. I tackled procrastination by breaking tasks into smaller, manageable steps and setting realistic deadlines.

Dear President Bongbong Marcos Jr.

Hi before you judge me please hear me out. When Bbm was still on his campaign era I used to be one of his supporters, because of his fathers background. Disregard the martial law.

Since my own family was Bbm Jhr. pro I was also a fan of him. I got carried away of informations about him, like he was an ilocano. Also he is undergrad because he wants to experience all the course's works. However, when he won the election 2-3 years ago. None of his promises or commitments were granted. I know I do not know how politics work and how hard it is to be a president of the whole country. How come he had the gut to promise this to people who have trusted him. He was also a politician, doesn't he know that his time of being a president has limit. He should've promised something that he can do. Not something that is impossible to do. The government of the Philippines is getting more and more corrupt. Even education system is fcked up because of people who are experimenting on students. School should be free for people who do not have the privilege. Excellence should be measured in this case. Not the connections nor money. Purely intelligence, I also want to add up the requirements needed for work. Why have a high standard requirements when the salary couldn't even feed a one family. The requirements should be based on the salary. They do not know the struggles below them. They do not observe the struggles of people who are outside the real world dealing with real problems.

In conclusion, politics is one of the reason why the Philippines is still at low. There are a lot of solutions out there. But it seems like they do not want to help their own country to succeed and make others life easier. They want others to suffer while they want their life above. Living like a self made rich, while others are suffering because of their stupidity. Corruption and Politicians are the biggest enemy of Filipinos.

Future

My dream for my future is to become a successful accountant, not just for personal achievement, but to contribute to creating a more stable...
